article for new programmer from cprogramming

First off, if you're NOT looking for beginner content, just go ahead and skip this particular email.  I'll send out more advanced info later, but I wanted to focus today on some of the best articles on the site for beginners who are just getting started.  I'm assuming you've already set up your compiler and started reading the tutorials or you've found a good book

If so, perfect!  Let me highlight some articles to help out programmers who've gotten past the first setup, but need some help getting over the next hump--actually writing code!
Another tip: make sure that you challenge yourself by solving practice problems.

Finding ideas for what to write can be hard, fortunately I've written up a bunch of practice problems for you.  You can find them here:

Code Completion Programming Problems - fill-in-the-blank problems that help you get started by writing small changes to existing code
Programming Practice Problems - from-scratch challenges that require you to write full programs

Simply put, sitting down and actually writing programs is an absolutely key step in learning to program!
